STEP 2

What to Prepare Before Teleconsult

To ensure a productive and accurate consultation, please prepare:
A. Clinical Information
  • Detailed description of current symptoms
  • Relevant medical history
  • List of current medications
  • Any known allergies
B. Previous Surgery (if applicable)
  • Operation reports
  • Surgical notes
  • Intraoperative photos (if available)
C. Imaging Studies
  • Ultrasound reports
  • MRI scans (preferably original DICOM images)

MRI images are particularly helpful as they are less operator-dependent compared to ultrasound and provide more detailed mapping, especially for complex pelvic conditions. This is especially important for teleconsult assessments.

D. Payment

Our staff will guide you through:

  • Teleconsultation fees
  • Payment methods
  • Confirmation process
STEP 3

Teleconsultation Process

  • A reminder will be sent one day before the appointment
  • A second reminder will be sent shortly before the consultation
  • The consultation will include:
  • Review of medical history and imaging
  • Discussion of diagnosis
  • Treatment options
  • Surgical considerations (if required)
  • Estimated costs and planning timeline
STEP 4

If Surgery in Singapore Is Recommended

If surgery is advised:
  • We will propose suitable surgery dates
  • Assist with insurance pre-authorisation / application
  • Provide documentation for visa or travel purposes (if required)

Insurance approval will ideally be arranged before you travel to Singapore.

STEP 5

Pre-operative
Tests in Your Home Country
(Optional but Recommended)

To save time in Singapore, you may complete:
  • Blood tests
  • ECG
  • Chest X-ray (if indicated)

We will provide a checklist of required investigations. Results should be sent to us prior to travel.

STEP 6

Physical Consultation in Singapore
(Mandatory)

Although teleconsultation is helpful, one in-person consultation is required.

Timing:
  • 1–2 days before scheduled surgery
During this visit:
  • Detailed physical examination
  • Pelvic mapping scan
  • Confirmation of diagnosis
  • Final surgical planning
  • Discussion of procedure details
  • Explanation of risks and recovery expectations
  • Signing of surgical consent
STEP 7

Surgery & Hospital Stay

  • Surgery performed at an accredited private hospital in Singapore
  • Typical hospital stay: 1–3 nights
  • Depending on complexity and extent of surgery
  • Minimally invasive surgery generally allows faster recovery
STEP 8

Post-Operative Review

Approximately 1 week after surgery

Purpose:
  • Review wound healing
  • Address any early post-operative concerns
  • Discuss histology
  • Adjust medications if needed
STEP 9

Return Travel

If recovery is smooth:
  • Most patients may safely fly home 10–14 days after surgery
We will provide:
  • Medical memo for travel
  • Follow-up instructions
  • Remote post-operative review plan if needed

Ongoing Follow-Up

After you return home:
  • Teleconsult follow-ups can be arranged
  • Local doctor coordination if required
  • Long-term management plan
